I don't even know where to begin with my summer program. It was exciting, different, and definitely a learning experience. I took a 3 week class at Stanford called "20th century Art, Culture, and Aesthetics". We learned about artistic movements, specifically Modernism and Postmodernism up to the present day. We also delved deeper into each category such as Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism, but we also got a broader understanding for the artistic developments of the time. While taking an enriching class, I also got a sense of dorm life and met many wonderful people. I am so happy I decided to go.
Sorry for my long absence, but I have been without a personal computer for almost a month! I know, crazy to think a teenager could stray away from technology for that long. Don't worry I still had my iPhone (and a couple funny stories coming about it later). I don't even know where to begin with my summer! So much has happened and I know I tell myself each year that "this summer is the best", but truly I think that this summer is my best. Maybe each summer experience is not necessarily better, but unique for the different travels we do and stages I am at during those times. Anyways, today I wanted to relay my past few weeks, so brace yourself and click read more!
