Here's my recipe
-1/2 cup parsley (loaded with Vitamin C)
-1 cup kale
-3 stalks celery
-1 cup unsweetened almond milk
-1 serving Wallaby's Organic Greek Yogurt (substitute with soy yogurt if vegan)
-1 small apple, with the skin of course!
Blend, with ice if you prefer it to be cooler but it is so cold in Chicago I don't add anything! And ENJOY!
Another reason why smoothies are a great option is because you can get a well-balanced macronutrient meal-- protein (from the yogurt), carbs (from the apples and strawberries), greens (kale, celery, parsley), and fat from any toppings you add (I add flaxseeds or hemp seeds or sometimes I blend in almond or peanut butter!).
