Current Western dogma is that eating fat will kills us. Flip through any average "health" magazine at the gas station and they will claim that saturated fats kill, while unsaturated fats are the way to go. They stress keeping the fats low and advocate a high-carb, medium-protein (made up of lean meats for god's sake) for an extremely low fat diet. Ironically, it is in this setting that we have seen a rise in obesity, heart disease, and cancer like none other in the history of human life...
The heat is on! I keep reading from others that eating Coconut oil (CO) is going to clog my arteries and kill me so after much frustration, I finally decided to put out an article on why CO is extremely healthful and even better to consume than olive oil. Before I delve in though, I just want to say that Olive oil is an extremely beneficial oil to consume as well, just not as much as CO and we will see why in a few moments.
