As you can see in the picture, I had fresh Halibut that my father grilled yesterday-- squeezed some lemon on it and added olive oil= YUM! Then I had some beet greens and kale that were boiled. These were local since I bought them at the farmer's market this weekend and also delicious. Lastly, I had a cup of boiled sweet potatoes with coconut milk (Organic Native Forest) added and cinnamon (one of my favorite dishes).
As a snack I had 3 brazil nuts for selenium and some coconut flakes (Let's Do Organic).
I had a grass-fed hot dog (these are so good, a must-try), and a turkey burger that my Mom stuffs with sun-dried tomatoes. On the side, I had the actual beets that I bought at the farmer's market (boiled and with olive oil drizzled on top). Lastly, I made myself a simple side salad with spinach, raw green beans, and broccoli. I love salads in the summer with fresh ingredients.
